Say Hello to Our Ears,
Our Greatest Design Asset

Our origin story begins like many. On the back of a napkin. Where certain libations may or may not have been involved.

Anatomy of a human ear

But as anyone who has succeeded in starting a business knows, those early passions must be supported by a sound foundation that glues the venture together.

So, let us introduce you to our ears, perhaps our greatest design asset. They’re the reason MeshCreative thrives (and the reason our clients remain our clients year after year).

Each member of the Mesh Team offers a signature discipline strength. Graphic design, illustration, user experience, coding, SEM/SEO, analytics - our artistic and technical acumen are powerful marketing juju. But they don’t teach you the high art of listening in any design or computer sciences school. You come by it naturally. Or you better learn it quickly if you want to stay afloat.

Milan Sperka, our Mesh messiah, is a listener. He’s imbued every Mesh team member with this aptitude, as well. Complementing these listening skills is an ego-free work ethic. Earful and egoless – the bedrock foundations of every Mesh relationship and design project.

Each project kicks off with listening. Then, we ask questions. Then we listen more. Ask a few more questions. More ear work... With no ego or preconceptions of how we will meet your marketing needs until we understand your expectations.

That explains why the initial cocktail-napkin business plan has thrived for over two decades, with a client roster that spans national, regional, and local brands.

Milan Sperka of MeshCreative

Meet Milan Sperka

After graduating from graphic design school in Belgium, Milan migrated to the United States. He followed the apprenticeship path that this industry mandates, working at several shops, politely cranking out the goods and slowly grinding his teeth. The comic-book rebel inside him knew he could do it better.

In 2001, Milan co-founded MeshCreative and in ‘05, assumed full ownership. Being an ears-up-front, ego-in-the-back designer affords him the objectivity to provide clients the solutions they’re seeking (but may not always be able to articulate).

A side-benefit of being a good listener: Mesh’s clients tend to remain clients for the long term. Which benefits both parties far beyond the calculated money-for-services exchange. There is a synchronicity that allows for outstanding work that solves problems and satisfies marketing needs.
